Who We Are

In 1987, a concerned group of people came together with the specific purpose of helping women facing an unplanned pregnancy. From that early gathering, a crisis pregnancy center began with a vision of providing encouragement and practical support to help women make a positive choice.

The center operated under the name of Amarillo Area Crisis Pregnancy Center from 1988 to 1999, and CareNet Pregnancy Centers from 1999 to 2019. As the ministry expanded, a full-circle of programs and services were added to further meet the needs of our community. In our first year of operation we were thrilled to interact with 235 clients. Today we have the highest honor of standing in the gap with 1000+ clients every month, providing much-needed services such as sonograms, educational classes, post-abortion support, and material goods.

In 2004, we began offering mentoring programs for teens and preteens. In the past decade, those programs have grown significantly and now impact hundreds of young people every year. In 2009, we launched our character-building school programs, #reach4greatness and Lead Council. Today those programs reach more than 24,000 students on 90+ campuses every month.

A name change to Hope Choice Pregnancy Centers and Mentoring Programs in 2019 reflected the ministry’s emphasis on impacting families who are facing the pressures of our culture and are seeking solid answers. We are pleased to partner with these families in our mission to equip, mentor, and strengthen future generations. We exist to help them choose hope in every area of life!
